Buffalo Wings Recipe

Can it still be called Buffalo Chicken Wings even if it’s not spicy? Or, just plain sweet chicken wings? haha We originally planned to try cooking a spicy buffalo chicken wings, since we have a toddler, we just left out the hot sauce. Here’s our Buffalo Wings recipe:

Buffalo Wings Recipe

1 tsp saltâ €
2 tbsp fish sauceâ €
1 eggâ €
1 kg chicken wingsâ €
2 tbsp butterâ €
4 tbsp tomato sauceâ €
4 tbsp brown sugarâ €
2 tbsp soy sauceâ €
3 tbsp flourâ €
4 tbsp cornstarchâ €
2 tsp garlic powderâ €
hot sauce optionalâ €
sesame seeds

PROCEDURE:

  1. Pour the salt, pepper, fish sauce, and egg to the chicken then mix.
  2. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. After 30 minutes, add the flour and cornstarch to the chicken
  4. Fry chicken until cooked.
  5. Set aside
  6. Prepare the sauce: Mix butter, tomato sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and garlic powder.
  7. Mix well and bring to a boil. Set aside.
  8. Fry the chicken again to make it crispy.
  9. Once crispy, mix the fried chicken with the sauce.
  10. Pour sesame seeds on top. That’s it! Enjoy. 🙂

Verdict: It’s sweet but tasty. So, if you are going to try cooking with the same ingredients that we used, tone down the sugar a bit.

PS. Ingredients and procedure came from different sources, we just mixed it up. And again, we are not chefs/cooks, just sharing the buffalo wings recipe that we’ve tried.

Haven’t tried buffalo wings for a long time. What I wanted to cook is the honey glazed type but I am not sure if the kids will like it. Yours looks yummy!

Buffalo wings is one of my favorite dishes particularly the spicy one, hahaha. I wonder how does it taste if not spicy. Maybe it will be more acceptable for me of it’s garlic-y. By the way, you featured image looks good.
