Easy Homemade Mango Pie
ECQ made me do it! haha Since we’ve been cooking a lot these days, we created our own Youtube account where we can share the recipes that we are trying, of course, named after this blog — Homebound Mom. First on our list is this Easy Homemade Mango Pie. If you are from or went to the Philippines and visited the ever famous Jollibee, you probably tried their Peach Mango Pie. I’ve been seeing a lot of posts on social media recreating it, but, we don’t have peaches so we just made Mango Pie using sliced bread. Here’s how we did it: Ingredients: – 2 big ripe mangoes– 3 tbsp…

Easy Homemade Stovetop Pizza Recipe
My son and I love pizza. But, as much as we love it, buying one is expensive ranging from P300 to P700 for a regular size, hand-tossed pizza crust. Here in the province, there are small stalls selling pizza at a cheaper price but the toppings are limited and most of the time we don’t like the taste. Because of this, we thought of making our own. Below is our Homemade Stovetop Pizza Recipe. **We don’t own an oven, so we just used our favorite frying pan and cooked it on the stovetop. 😉 Ingredients: Bambi Pizza Crust – 10″Del Monte Sweet Style Spaghetti SauceJolly Mushroom (premium sliced)Hotdog (thinly sliced)…

Sinigang na Bangus Recipe
One of the easiest dishes to cook, for me, is Sinigang na Bangus. “…it is a Filipino soup or stew characterized by its sour and savoury taste most often associated with tamarind (Filipino: sampalok). It is one of the more popular dishes in Filipino cuisine.” – Wikipedia For this recipe, I used boneless milkfish because it is easier to eat, especially if you have a toddler. You can either have the milkfish deboned in the wet market or buy one in the supermarket. Ingredients: 1 Bangus (Milkfish, Cleaned and Sliced)2 onions sliced3 tomatoes sliced20g pack Knorr Sinigang sa Sampalok Mix Original1 L watera bunch of kangkong (water spinach), separate the leaves from the stalks1 bundle sitaw (string beans)2 sili pangsigang…

Fusilli Carbonara with Mushroom Recipe
Whenever my son doesn’t want to eat rice, our go-to food would always be pasta, pancit bihon, pancit canton, or any noodles topped with white or red sauce. And, today is one of those days. Good thing pasta and sauce are included in our monthly grocery staples! I prepared a very easy to cook Fusilli Carbonara with Mushroom for lunch so the picky toddler can eat. I do not have time to check for the best recipe online, so I just cooked it like a normal pasta would be cooked. Here’s how I did it. Ingredients: Preparation: I just felt happy after lunch as my son liked my version of…
